Something I hope not see again
I saw something out my window
Don't know where it starts or where it ends

I saw something out my window
Beneath the howl in the moonglow
It had fangs and made me tremble
When I saw it out my window

Who knows what was out that window
But, I guess it really could come back
That thing that was just outside my window
About to give me heart attacks

They say the thing out side the window
Seeks revenge and don't forget a face
I know it saw me, now my fear grows
I think I'll find another place


There's something out that window, and something's wrong with that
I can't explain the trajedies of what is known as fact
No certainties are granted, beyond that is your fate
To make of it what you respect and create all we know as great

Back in the day, ... they all say
Things were so different then
We had our friends, our treasured loves
So everything was o.k.

Life was simple,  and full of promise
We would talk face to face
And day to day,  love was connecting
Held our best dreams in place

We were young,  we were children
So much was different than today
Each day was new, there was a new sun
We played a new game every day

Our favorite things - were overflowing
So much to feel and to love
That kind of happiness, was never-ending
We laughed at life...just because

The tears we had, when we had them
Were just so much easier to soothe
We all knew just where to turn to
Love had nothing                   to prove

When he came on the scene, he had a magazine
He had a rifle and he had pride
But when the wagon rolled in - to take him home
He had nothin' left to give inside

It was a cold lonely time in a dark distant place
That took it all away from him
Now he's out on the road and he can't reload
The fire burned through his limbs
