MAKING FLAC's AND MP3's:  for better quality from audio cd's : to keep on pc, make cd's, convert, or send


FLAC and LAME:

   (FLAC FILES APPROX 23.5MB PER 5MIN / LAME MP3 APPROX 10MB PER 5MIN USING BELOW SETTINGS)
                  (.WAV files at 16bit/44100 freq are approx 50mb per 5min)

Open Nero Express / Select 'MUSIC'
Select 'copy audio cd tracks' from left side
select drive
accept database report (or not) and do 'edit CD entry'
ADD artist, genre and year info and add checkmarks for autocreate
add album name after the ARTIST entry "(artist) - album name" above
correct any track names/numbers or such that are in error
Click 'selected cd' and NO to creating a user database

select FLAC or LAME MP3  from list for file type

set  FLAC settings at 5
OR
set LAME MP3 for constant bitrate 320kbps

volume setting in the middle / output at digital
select options tab at bottom and check M3U and set read rate to 24x
browse to set file ending location
FILE NAME LOCATION:  set to user defined with the settings:
%T - %A %N.flac   (or .mp3 for that format) (removing the '( )' around the N, if there)
select 'go', files finish in the chosen directory



sending .zip or .rar

select add to archive on right click of file
select .zip or .rar as type

make zip complete or break into .rar files

.zip select send at best compression method
.rar select normal and designate file size 5mb, 10mb, etc...)

EMAILS....limits per mail service:
AOL limit is 16mb
most audio song files and such would need multiple parts
good for one song or so........not albums

FTP / MESSENGER SYSTEMS SHOULD DO ANY SIZE UP TO 2GB (Yahoo)
or post to web location like personal website or rapidshare....etc....
